44r0n7 ac5f5a06d1 Belts carry 4 grains deep; stalled belts warn and stop animating (t45) 2026-10-29 23:21:27 -04:00
44r0n7andClaude Opus 5.5 80668a4baf Lakes fill only to their lower rim and keep clear of spawn and the dock (t96)
The lake lip was Math.min(surfY), the highest ground (y grows downward), so water was poured
above the lower rim and, once levelled, ran up to the trade dock on 4 of 12 seeds. The lip is
now the lower rim edge minus one, and each lake stays 80 grains from spawn. Seed hashes and
the shallow-ore hash re-baselined (changes only under lake basins); golden fixtures also
freeze surfY/dirtY/AMB from the previous generator.

44r0n7andClaude Opus 5.5 9937683a2c Faster roof scan and heat pass with identical results (t21)
- The roof is rescanned only in area columns that changed since the last scan: a quiet Huge
  world goes from 4.60 to 1.88 ms per scan (every 20 ticks).
- The heat pass skips react() for solids and powders below their first reaction threshold:
  Huge world digging 2.54 -> 2.34 ms/tick, quiet 1.39 -> 1.18.
- Every suite's output is identical apart from timing lines; seeds make the same worlds.
- test/t_sim_optimizations.js checks the dirty roof against a full scan and the heat loop
  against the reference loop byte for byte.
